A graduate from Hamilton College & University of New Orleans, LSU, Lorna has an MFA in Communication and Film “With Distinction.” She's written and directed award-winning shorts, docs, and industrials. Honors include several Gold and Silver CINDY Awards, the Gold Medal Questar Award, CINE’s Golden Eagle, a special jury prize from International Documentary Festival of Three Continents, Honorable Mention at the Columbus International Film and Video Festival, as well as Top 10% Finalist in the Nicholls Screenwriting Fellowship, and Finalist of the ABC/DGA TV Directing Fellowship. "Just 2 Get By" won Best Script in the 2006 African American Women in Cinema Film Festival.
